This week we’re busy here at Swoop’s World Radio. We’ll be broadcasting three shows and two from a couple of great events.
Our regular show Wednesday night at 9pm will feature Michael Nayt, host of The Michael Nayt Show on BlogTalk Radio. Every day on his show Michael introduces his audience to indie bands that are working hard and making music. On Friday night at 7:30pm we’re back broadcasting Swoop’s World Radio live from First Fridays Long Beach at the Mirage Mediterranean Grill Featuring Michelle Mangione and scheduled Guests- Photographer Donna Santisi, Comedian Lynda Montgomery, and Songwriter/Guitarist Jill Warren. This Wednesday night at 9pm, on Swoop’s World Radio, we have Jack Nunn, owner of Powerhouse Fitness, his dad, U.S. Olympian John Nunn and the guys from LB Food Review.
Jack Nunn started rowing in 1996 for Long Beach Juniors and made the 1997 U.S. Junior National Team Selection Camp. He attended UC Berkeley, winning four Pac-10 Championships and three National Championships in rowing. He was a member of the first ever undefeated Pac-10 and National Champion Freshman 8 in 1998 and repeated the feat by going unbeaten in 1999. Jack also played two seasons with the Cal Ice Hockey Team before graduating in 2001. Read more »

Swoop’s World Radio and EverythingLongBeach.com are assisting Justin Rudd with his nonprofit 501c3 Community Action Team’s project “Operation Easter Basket.”
We will host a collection center during First Fridays Long Beach at the Michelle Mangione show in the Mirage Mediterranean Grill. Anyone wishing to give a gift of an Easter Basket and help in the efforts to donate 1,500 completed, essential-filled Easter baskets for under-served Long Beach-area youth may drop them off during the show. We are teaming up with LB Food Review, a couple of light-hearted critics intent on eating their way through the best restaurants of Long Beach. Together we will produce bi-monthly segments about the local restaurant and bar scene that will air exclusively on Swoop’s World. Read more »
