Angela Madsen Embarks on Her Historic Row on June 8, 2013

On June 8, 2013 Paralympian Angela Madsen leaves for her TransPac Solo Military & Veteran Tribute Row from California to Hawaii. Angela has been a guest on our show on several occasions and has a remarkable story of achievement, adversity, and triumph over adversity. Her efforts on this solo row will see her through 90 to 100 days rowing alone, without a support team across the ocean for approximately 2,500 miles.

Angela an accomplished ocean rower with 6 Guinness World Records for rowing oceans but this will be her first time doing it solo. She has also represented the U.S. at the Paralympics and recently brought home the Bronze Medal, competing in the shot put, from the 2012 London Games.
